So it is everywhere throughout the Dharma-realm and to the utmost reaches of the realm of space.

Having thus dedicated all roots of goodness universally for all beings, the great bodhisattva further dedicates these roots of goodness in order fully to expound the power of all Dharmas and pure practices; in order to accomplish the majestic power of pure practice and attain ineffably ineffable oceans of Dharma; in order that every ocean of Dharma may be filled with measureless pure lights of wisdom pervading the Dharma-realm; in order to reveal and explain the distinct expressions and meanings of all Dharmas; in order to accomplish boundless, vast samadhis; in order to accord with the eloquence of the Buddhas of the three times; in order to accomplish the sovereign bodies of the Buddhas of the three times;

Sons of the Buddha! The great bodhisattva further dedicates these roots of goodness in this way:
They are dedicated to abiding in the measureless abodes of the Dharma-realm. They are dedicated to abiding in the Dharma-realm’s measureless bodily karma, measureless verbal karma, measureless mental karma, the equality of measureless forms, and the equality of measureless feelings, perceptions, formations, and consciousnesses. They are dedicated to abiding in the equality of the Dharma-realm’s measureless skandhas, ayatanas, and dhatus.
They are dedicated to abiding in the equality of the Dharma-realm’s measureless internal and external dharmas. They are dedicated to abiding in the Dharma-realm’s equality of measureless arousals, equality of profound minds, equality of skillful means, equality of faith and understanding, equality of faculties and powers, equality of beginning, middle, and end, equality of karma and retribution, equality of defilement and purity, equality of beings, equality of Buddha-lands, equality of the true Dharma, equality of the world’s illumination, equality of the Buddhas, equality of bodhisattvas, equality of bodhisattvas’ practices and vows, equality of bodhisattvas’ emancipation, equality of bodhisattvas’ teaching and discipline, and the nondual equality of the Dharma-realm.
They are dedicated, and so forth, to abiding in the equality of the Tathagata’s measureless places of enlightenment throughout the Dharma-realm.
Sons of the Buddha! When the great bodhisattva dedicates merit in this way, he abides in the equality of the Dharma-realm’s measureless pure bodies, equality of pure speech, equality of pure minds, equality of pure bodhisattva practices and vows, and equality of pure places of enlightenment.
Abiding in the measureless equality of the Dharma-realm, this great bodhisattva extensively expounds for all bodhisattvas pure wisdom concerning all dharmas. Abiding in the measureless equality of the Dharma-realm, he can enter all worlds within the body that extends throughout the Dharma-realm. Abiding in the measureless equality of the Dharma-realm, all dharmas are luminous, pure, and fearless to him. With a single voice he can end the doubts and delusions of all beings, accord with their faculties and dispositions, cause them all to rejoice, and establish them in the Dharma of liberation, unsurpassed wisdom of all modes, the Ten Powers, the four fearlessnesses, sovereign spiritual powers, and vast merit.
Sons of the Buddha! This is the great bodhisattva’s tenth dedication: the Measureless Dedication Equal to the Dharma-Realm.
When this great bodhisattva dedicates all roots of goodness in this way, he fully accomplishes measureless, boundless practices and vows of Samantabhadra. He can adorn and purify all Buddha-lands throughout the Dharma-realm and the realm of space and cause all beings to attain the same. He fully accomplishes boundless wisdom that comprehends all dharmas, sees all Buddhas appear in the world in every thought, and in every thought beholds the measureless, boundless sovereign powers of all Buddhas, namely:
The sovereign power of vastness; the sovereign power of nonattachment; the sovereign power of nonobstruction; the sovereign power of inconceivability; the sovereign power to purify all beings; the sovereign power to establish all worlds; the sovereign power to manifest ineffable forms of speech; the sovereign power to appear in accordance with the proper time; the sovereign power to abide irreversibly in the wisdom of spiritual penetrations; the sovereign power to expound the entirety of the boundless Dharma-realm without omission; the sovereign power to produce the boundless eye of wisdom of Bodhisattva Samantabhadra; the sovereign power to hear and retain measureless Buddha-Dharmas with unobstructed auditory consciousness;
the sovereign power to manifest a single body seated cross-legged throughout the measureless Dharma-realms of the ten directions without constricting any being; and the sovereign power universally to enter the measureless dharmas of the three times with perfect wisdom.
He further attains measureless purities, namely:
The purity of all beings; the purity of all Buddha-lands; the purity of all dharmas; the purity of wisdom that knows every place universally; the purity of boundless wisdom pervading the realm of space; the purity of wisdom that comprehends all distinctions of speech and responds universally to beings through many kinds of voices; the purity of emitting measureless lights that completely illuminate all boundless worlds; the purity of the power of wisdom that produces all bodhisattva practices of the three times; the purity of the power of wisdom that, in a single thought, universally enters the places of enlightenment of all Buddhas of the three times; and the purity of entering all boundless worlds and causing all beings to perform everything that should be done.
All these things are fully possessed, completely accomplished, thoroughly cultivated, made equal, brought directly before him, seen and known, awakened to and entered, fully contemplated, and purified to the other shore.
At that time, through the Buddha’s spiritual power, six kinds of quaking occurred throughout worlds in the ten directions numbering as many as the dust motes in a million Buddha-lands, namely:
Quaking, universal quaking, and equal universal quaking; rising, universal rising, and equal universal rising; surging, universal surging, and equal universal surging; shaking, universal shaking, and equal universal shaking; roaring, universal roaring, and equal universal roaring; striking, universal striking, and equal universal striking.
Through the Buddha’s spiritual power, and because the Dharma is naturally so, there rained from the heavens many kinds of celestial flowers, celestial garlands, powdered incense and various celestial fragrances, celestial garments, celestial precious valuables, celestial ornaments, celestial mani jewels, celestial aloeswood incense, celestial sandalwood incense, celestial superior parasols, various celestial banners and pennants, and countless celestial forms.
There arose measureless celestial sounds of Dharma, inconceivable celestial voices praising the Buddha, and countless celestial voices of joy proclaiming together, “Excellent!” Measureless, countless devas reverently bowed in homage. Countless sons of devas constantly recollected the Buddha and sought the Buddha’s measureless merit, never turning their minds away. Countless sons of devas played music and sang praises in offering to the Tathagata.
Countless devas emitted great lights illuminating all Buddha-lands and revealing measureless, countless realms of the Buddhas and transformation bodies of the Tathagata surpassing the heavens.
Just as this Dharma was taught in the Tusita Palace of this world, so too was it taught throughout the ten directions in the Tusita palaces of all worlds.
Then, through the Buddha’s spiritual power, beyond worlds in each of the ten directions numbering as many as the dust motes in a million Buddha-lands, bodhisattvas numbering as many as the dust motes in a million Buddha-lands came together and proclaimed in unison: “Excellent! Excellent! Son of the Buddha, you are able to teach this Dharma of great dedication. We all bear the same name, Vajra Banner, and have come here from the world Vajra Light, from the presence of the Buddha Vajra Banner. Through the Buddha’s spiritual power, this Dharma is also taught in those worlds. The assembly, the great teaching, its words, expressions, and meanings are all exactly the same, without increase or decrease.
“We have come here through the Buddha’s majestic spiritual power to bear witness for you.
“As testimony is given here, so too do bodhisattvas appear and bear witness in all Tusita palaces throughout the worlds of the ten directions.”
Through the Buddha’s spiritual power, Bodhisattva Vajra Banner contemplated all the assemblies throughout the Dharma-realm of the ten directions. His mind of great loving-kindness and compassion expanded ever further. He entered the merits of all Buddhas, accomplished the sovereign body of a Buddha, and contemplated the inclinations of all beings and the roots of goodness they had planted, knowing them all completely. In accordance with the Dharma-body, the bodhisattva manifested for them a pure body of wondrous form and immediately spoke these verses:
The bodhisattva is a great Dharma-guide,
Revealing the profound Dharma so hard to gain;
He guides measureless beings throughout the ten directions
And trains them to abide within the true Dharma.
The bodhisattva has drunk the ocean of Buddha-Dharma;
Dharma-clouds rain throughout the lands of the ten directions.
The Dharma-sun appears within the world,
Proclaiming wondrous Dharma for the benefit of every kind of being.
He is forever a rarely encountered master of the gift of Dharma,
Clearly knowing the skillful means for entering Dharma.
Pure Dharma-light illuminates the mind;
He teaches Dharma in the world, ever fearless.
Skillfully cultivating Buddha-Dharma, his mind is sovereign;
He can awaken to and enter every Dharma-gateway.
He accomplishes the exceedingly wondrous, profound ocean of Dharma
And beats the Dharma-drum universally for all beings.
He proclaims the rare and most profound Dharma
And uses Dharma to nourish and increase every merit.
His mind is filled with the pure joy of Dharma,
And he reveals the treasury of Buddha-Dharma to the world.
He receives consecration from the Buddha, King of Dharma,
And accomplishes the wisdom-treasury body of Dharma-nature.
He fully understands the true characteristics of all dharmas
And abides in every wholesome Dharma.
The bodhisattva practices the great gift of Dharma,
Which all Tathagatas rejoice in and praise.
They approve the bodhisattva’s deeds;
Through this he becomes a Honored One among humans.
The bodhisattva accomplishes the wondrous Dharma-body,
Truly born through transformation from the Dharma of the Buddhas.
To benefit beings, he becomes a Dharma-lamp,
Expounding measureless, supremely excellent Dharmas.
In accordance with his cultivation of the wondrous gift of Dharma,
He also constantly contemplates those roots of goodness.
Performing every wholesome deed for the sake of beings,
He dedicates them all with wisdom.
The Buddha-lands of the ten directions are measureless in number,
Each fully endowed with measureless great adornments.
All such inconceivable adornments
Are used to adorn every single land.
Accomplishing vast powers of spiritual penetration,
He reaches every land throughout the ten directions.
Leaving not a single being behind,
He causes them all to cultivate the bodhisattva path.
The bodhisattva fully possesses sovereign powers
And goes wherever he should go to learn.
Manifesting every great spiritual penetration,
He reaches measureless lands throughout the ten directions.
Within the space of a single thought, the bodhisattva
Universally beholds countless Buddhas among beings;
And within a single pore
He gathers all dharmas and sees them clearly.
Many kinds of fragrant incense and supremely wondrous flowers,
Jewels, garments, pennants, and parasols
Are spread throughout and fill the Dharma-realm,
As he resolves to make offerings to all Buddhas.
Throughout all the kalpas of the world,
He makes offerings to and praises the Tathagatas.
The number of the world’s kalpas may be exhausted,
But the bodhisattva’s offerings to the Buddhas never cease.
Throughout all worlds and all kalpas,
He cultivates meritorious practices during those kalpas,
Reverently making offerings to a single Tathagata
Without weariness or satisfaction throughout every kalpa.
As he makes offerings to one Buddha for measureless kalpas,
So too does he make offerings to every Buddha.
He makes no discrimination concerning the number of kalpas,
And never wearies of the work of offering.
The jeweled flowers are complete in fragrance and color,
Pure, magnificent, and exceedingly wondrous.
Nothing in any world can equal them;
With these flowers he makes offerings to the World-Honored Ones.
Wondrous fragrant ointments, supremely excellent,
Never before existing in any world—
With these he makes offerings to the Teacher of Devas and Humans
Throughout measureless kalpas numerous as dust motes.
Powdered incense, burning incense, supremely wondrous flowers,
Precious garments and ornaments—
With these he makes offerings to the Tathagatas,
Joyfully serving them without weariness or satisfaction.
While the bodhisattva makes offerings to the Buddhas,
Through the Buddhas’ spiritual power they pervade everywhere.
He beholds measureless Buddhas throughout the ten directions
And abides in the practices of Bodhisattva Samantabhadra.
These are the bodhisattvas of the ten directions
Who together diligently cultivate the practice of dedication.
The Buddhas, the Tathagatas, have taught me
That this practice of dedication is unsurpassed.
The bodhisattva dedicates the practice of generosity
And also firmly upholds every precept.
He cultivates diligently without fear or retreat,
Gentle and patient, his mind unmoving.
He gathers the mind in meditation, constantly focused upon one object;
With wisdom he understands that objects accord with samadhi.
He penetrates the past, future, and present,
While the world cannot fathom his limits.
The bodhisattva’s bodily, mental, and verbal karma—
His thoughts, words, and deeds—are all pure.
None of his cultivation is deficient;
It is completely identical to that of Samantabhadra.
Like the Dharma-realm, it is free from discrimination;
Conceptual proliferation and defiled attachment are wholly exhausted.
Like nirvana, it is without obstruction;
His mind is always thus, apart from attachment.
The wise possess this Dharma of dedication,
Which the Buddhas, the Tathagatas, have revealed.
They dedicate every root of goodness,
And thereby can accomplish the bodhisattva path.
Sons of the Buddha who skillfully learn this dedication
Perfect measureless practices and vows.
They encompass the Dharma-realm without remainder
And thereby accomplish the Buddha’s powers of wisdom.
Those who wish to accomplish the Buddha’s teaching
And the vast, supreme practices of bodhisattvas
Should skillfully abide in this dedication;
Samantabhadra is the name of such a son of the Buddha.
All beings may still be counted,
And the thoughts of the three times may also be known;
But the limits of the merit in these practices
Of Samantabhadra, the Buddha’s son, cannot be measured.
