1. PRECEPT: ACTING AS A MATCHMAKER.
The matter of acting as a matchmaker is as already explained in the precepts of the Bhikkhus. Therefore the Blessed One taught:
—If a Bhikkhunī acts as a matchmaker, arranging a union between a man and a woman, whether in marriage or in illicit relations, even if only for a moment, that constitutes a root offense of Saṃghāvaśeṣa.
