3. PRECEPT: KILLING A HUMAN BEING.
—If a bhikkhunī kills a person with her own hand, or goes to seek a knife and gives it to them so that they may take their own life, or tells them to die, or praises death, saying: "Alas, what is the use of a person living in such wretchedness! It is better to die than to live." Thinking in such a way, imagining in such a way, seeking the means to praise death as a delight—and on account of this they die, with no other cause—then that bhikkhunī commits a Pārājika offense and is not permitted to live together with the community of bhikkhunīs.
