– DHARMAGUPTAKA VINAYA

– PĀCITTIYA

RULE 52

Whatever bhikkhunī speaks thus: "I understand that, according to the Dharma taught by the Buddha, sexual intercourse is not a Dharma that obstructs the path" — the other bhikkhunīs should admonish that bhikkhunī, saying: "Sister, do not speak in such a way; do not misrepresent the Blessed One — to misrepresent the Blessed One is not good. The Blessed One did not say such a thing. The Blessed One, by means of countless skillful means, has declared that sensual indulgence is a Dharma that obstructs the path, that engaging in sexual intercourse is a Dharma that obstructs the path." When admonished by the other bhikkhunīs in this way, if that bhikkhunī persists and does not relinquish it, the bhikkhunīs should admonish her up to three times so that she may give up that matter.

If upon being admonished up to three times she relinquishes it, that is good; if she does not relinquish it, it is a pācittiya.
