And ineffably ineffable multiplied by ineffably ineffable makes one ineffably ineffable transformation.”

For Mind King Bodhisattva, the World-Honored One then spoke these verses:

The ineffable beyond all speechFills all that is ineffable;Throughout ineffably many kalpas,Its telling could never be exhausted.
Ineffably many Buddha landsAre all ground into minute particles;Within each particle are ineffably many lands—As with one, so too with all.

The Buddha lands described above,
In a single thought, are ground into ineffably many particles;
In every thought they are ground in the same way,
Continuously throughout ineffably many kalpas.

Each particle contains ineffably many lands;To reduce these lands to particles is harder still to describe.Using an ineffable system of calculation,One counts this way for ineffably many kalpas.

Using these particles to count the kalpas,
Each particle represents a hundred thousand ineffables;
Throughout those kalpas one praises a single Samantabhadra,
Yet cannot exhaust the measure of his merit.

Upon the tip of one exceedingly fine hairAre ineffably many Samantabhadras;Every hair tip is also thus,Extending successively throughout the Dharma-realm.
Upon the tip of a single hair are landsImmeasurable and ineffable in number;Throughout the measure of space are hair tips,And upon each hair are just as many lands.
The lands upon those hair tipsAbide in immeasurably diverse kinds;There are ineffably many lands of different kindsAnd ineffably many lands of the same kind.
Upon ineffably many hair tipsAre ineffably many pure lands,With ineffably many kinds of adornmentsAnd ineffably many kinds of wonders.
Upon each and every one of those hair tipsAre proclaimed ineffably many names of Buddhas;For each and every name there are Tathagatas,All ineffably, ineffably numerous.
Upon the body of each TathagataAppear ineffably many pores;Within each and every poreAppear ineffably many forms and marks.
Ineffably many poresAll emit ineffably many lights;Within each and every lightAppear ineffably many lotus flowers.
Within each and every lotusAre ineffably many petals;Within the petals of ineffably many flowersAppear ineffably many forms and marks.
Within those ineffably many formsAgain appear ineffably many petals;Within the flowers are ineffably many lights,And within the flowers, ineffably many forms and marks.
Within these ineffably many forms and marks,Each reveals ineffably many lights;Within the lights appear ineffably many moons,And the moons again reveal ineffably many moons.
Among the ineffably many lunar discs,Each moon reveals ineffably many lights;Within each and every lightAgain appear ineffably many suns.
Among the ineffably many solar discs,Each reveals ineffably many forms;Within each and every formAgain appear ineffably many lights.
Within each and every lightAppear ineffably many lion thrones;Each throne has ineffably many adornments,And each adornment has ineffably many lights.

Within the lights are ineffably many wondrous forms;
Within the forms are ineffably many pure lights;
Within each and every pure light
Again appear many kinds of wondrous radiance.

These lights again reveal many kinds of lights,Ineffably and ineffably numerous;Within all such kinds of radianceAppear wondrous jewels like Mount Sumeru.
Within each light appear wondrous jewels,Ineffably and ineffably numerous;Each wondrous jewel like Mount SumeruReveals ineffably many lands.
All the jeweled Sumerus, without exception,Manifest lands in this same manner;Each land is ground into particles,And each particle has ineffably many forms and marks.
The lands are made into particles, and the particles have marks,Ineffably and ineffably numerous;All such varieties of particulate marksEmit ineffably many lights.

Within the lights appear ineffably many Buddhas;
The Dharma spoken by the Buddhas is ineffable;
Within that Dharma are ineffably many wondrous verses,
And those who hear and understand the verses are ineffable.

In every thought, there are ineffably many understandings;
The ultimate truth is clearly understood in ineffably many ways;
All future Buddhas are manifested,
Forever expounding the Dharma without end.

Each Buddha’s Dharma is ineffable;Its many kinds of purity are ineffable;It issues ineffably many wondrous soundsAnd turns ineffably many wheels of right Dharma.
Within each and every Dharma wheel,Ineffably many sutras are expounded;Within each and every sutra,Ineffably many Dharma-gates are distinguished.
Within each and every Dharma-gate,Ineffably many teachings are again explained;Within each and every teaching,Ineffably many sentient beings are subdued.

Or, upon the tip of a single hair,
They constantly abide for ineffably many kalpas;
As with one hair tip, so too with all the others—
The kalpas of their abiding are all likewise.

Their unobstructed minds are ineffable;The transformations of the Buddhas are ineffable;Each of the transformed TathagatasAgain manifests ineffably many transformations.
Those Buddhas’ Dharma-bodies are ineffable;Their emanation bodies are ineffable;Their immeasurable adornments are ineffable;Their passage throughout the ten directions is ineffable.

Within each and every Dharma-gate,They again teach ineffably many dharmas;Within each and every right Dharma,The certainties they possess are ineffable.
Within each and every certainty,They subdue ineffably many sentient beings;Dharmas of the same kind are beyond expression,And minds of the same kind are beyond expression.

Dharmas of different kinds are beyond expression;
Minds of different kinds are beyond expression;
Faculties of different kinds are beyond expression;
Languages of different kinds are beyond expression.

In thought after thought, wherever they travel,They subdue ineffably many sentient beings;The miraculous transformations they possess are ineffable;The manifestations they possess are ineffable.

The times and kalpas therein are ineffable;
The distinctions known therein are ineffable;
Bodhisattvas can distinguish and explain them all,
But even skilled calculators cannot discern them.

The great and small lands upon one hair tip,Defiled or pure, coarse or subtle—All such things are ineffable,Yet each can be clearly distinguished.
If one land were ground into dust,Its particles would be immeasurable and ineffable;As many lands as those boundless particlesCould all assemble upon the tip of one hair.
These ineffably many landsAssemble upon the hair tip without crowding;They do not cause the hair tip to grow larger,Though all those lands gather there together.
All the lands upon the hairRetain their original shapes without confusion;As one land does not disturb the others,So it is with all lands.
The boundless realm of empty spaceIs placed entirely upon a hair and fills it;All such lands upon a hair tipA bodhisattva can describe in a single thought.
Into one exceedingly tiny poreIneffably many lands enter in succession;The pore can contain all those lands,Yet the lands do not fill the pore.

The number of kalpas during their entry is ineffable;
The number of kalpas during their reception is ineffable;
While they abide arranged in ranks,
