– MAHĀSĀṂGHIKA VINAYA
– PRECEPTS OF THE BHIKKHUNĪ
– ELUCIDATION OF THE FIRST PART OF THE EIGHT PĀRĀJIKAS.
2. PRECEPT: THEFT.
—If a bhikkhunī takes what has not been given to her, whether in a village or in the wilderness, and on account of what she has taken, the king either arrests her, kills her, binds her, or banishes her, saying: "O woman! You are a thief and a fool"—then this bhikkhunī who has stolen commits a pārājika offense and is not permitted to live together with the community of nuns.
