– FOUR-PART VINAYA
– NISSAGGIYA PĀCITTIYA
Rule 1
At one time, the Buddha was dwelling in the park of Anāthapiṇḍika, in the Jeta Grove, in the country of Sāvatthī. At that time, the Blessed One, on account of these causes and conditions, assembled the Saṅgha of bhikkhus and said to the bhikkhus:
"From now on, I shall lay down the rules of training for the bhikkhunīs, comprising ten bases of meaning, up to and including the phrase 'for the long endurance of the true Dharma.'"
Wishing to recite the precept, it should be recited thus:
Whatever bhikkhunī, when the robe-making is completed and the Kaṭhina has been dismantled, stores an extra robe for more than ten days without having made a valid transfer — if she exceeds this, it is a nissaggiya pācittiya.
