If explained according to the sequence of the two vehicles: it is utterly impossible to realize the fruit of the path without fully cultivating the thirty-seven factors of awakening.
To realize the Buddha's self-enjoyment body, one must cultivate the thirty-seven samadhi wisdoms in order to perfect the fruit of Buddhahood.

Through the empowering might of these thirty-seven portions of wisdom belonging to the inner realization of the unsurpassed vajra realm, one immediately realizes the body of Vairocana. From the invisible crown protuberance stream forth the immeasurable Dharma bodies of the Buddha crowns, gathering in space to form a Dharma assembly.
Their radiance covers everything like the rings of a stupa spire. Even those who have fulfilled the ten bhumis cannot behold them. Unseen, they descend upon the bodily and mental karmic obstructions of sentient beings and cause all of them to be utterly destroyed, although no one can know it.
Though beings do not perceive or know this, it can still halt their sufferings and bring about birth in good destinies. From the radiance stream forth sixteen bodhisattvas together with the great inner and outer guardians of the eight directions. In turn, they extensively emit light that shines upon and touches the evil destinies, forming the terraces of a stupa and protecting the Dharma-dhatu stupa palace of the Buddhas.
Thus they form the golden body that directly realizes the universally illuminating body of Vairocana Tathagata of the vajra realm.
