19.13. The Adulteress Who Was Flayed
Vi-n 1Here, friend, as I was descending Mount Gijjhakùta, I saw a flayed woman traveling through the air. Vultures, crows, and hawks pursued her, pecking and tearing at her, while she cried out in pain.
Vi-n 2That woman, bhikkhus, was an adulteress here in Rājagaha.
This collection was translated into Vietnamese by Venerable Thích Minh Châu and published by Vạn Hạnh Monastery in the early 1980s . Later, as part of the translation and publication program for the Vietnamese Buddhist Canon, the collection was reprinted in 1993 and assigned sequence numbers 12 through 16.
