19.12. The Wicked Brahmin Who Ate Excrement
Vi-n 1Here, friend, as I was descending Mount Gijjhakùta, I saw a man submerged in a pit of excrement, eating excrement with both hands.
Vi-n 2That being, bhikkhus, was a brahmin here in Ràjgaha. While the Fully Enlightened Kassapa was teaching, that man invited the community of bhikkhus for a meal. He then filled a ladle with excrement and said: “May the venerables eat their fill and take some away!”
