– So It Was Said 33

The Book of the Twos Chapter One Ethics (2nd)

This was said by the Buddha, the Perfected One: that is what I heard.

“Mendicants, an individual with two qualities is placed in heaven as if delivered there. What two? Excellent conduct and excellent view. A individual with these two qualities is placed in heaven as if delivered there.”

The Buddha spoke this matter. On this it is said:

“If a person possessesthese two qualities—excellent conductand excellent views—when their body breaks up, that wise personis reborn in heaven.”

This too is a matter that was spoken by the Blessed One: that is what I heard.
