33. The Conduct of (the Bodhisatta) Suvaṇṇasāma
BJT 351When I was Sāma in the forest manifested by (the god) Sakka, I spread a mind of loving-kindness to the lions and tigers in that great forest.
BJT 352I lived in the forest, surrounded by lions, tigers, leopards, bears, wild buffaloes, spotted deer, and wild boars.
BJT 353No animal feared me, nor was I afraid of any animal. Sustained then by the power of loving-kindness, I delighted in the great forest.
The conduct of (the Bodhisatta) Suvaṇṇasāma is the thirteenth.
