With body, speech, and mind made pure,

Extinguishing all defilements,

With single-minded reverence I pay homage

To the Buddhas of the ten directions and the three times.

Through the power of Samantabhadra's vow

I behold all the Buddhas;

I bow my head to the Tathāgatas

In immeasurable lands and realms.

Within a single mote of dust

I see all the Buddhas,

Encircled by hosts of bodhisattvas;

So too throughout the dust-motes of the Dharma-realm.

Using all manner of wondrous sounds,

I extol the Most Victorious One,

Whose ocean of merit is immeasurable

And can never be fully known.

Through the power of Samantabhadra's conduct,

With offerings of the finest kind,

I make offerings throughout the ten directions

To all the Buddhas of the three times.

With garlands of flowers and precious incense,

Together with every kind of music,

And the finest of adornments,

I make offerings to all the Buddhas.

Because of greed, hatred, and delusion

I have committed all manner of evil deeds—

Unwholesome acts of body, speech, and mind—

Which through repentance shall surely be extinguished.

All the merit of sentient beings,

The merit of the śrāvakas,

The pratyekabuddhas, bodhisattvas, and Buddhas—

In all of it I vow to rejoice.

All the Buddhas of the ten directions

Who have just attained Perfect Enlightenment—

To them I come and entreat

That they turn the unsurpassed Dharma-wheel.

When the Buddhas manifest the sign of nirvāṇa,

I join my palms and reverently beseech them

To abide in the world for many kalpas,

Bringing peace and joy to sentient beings.

May the merit I have attained

Be dedicated to all sentient beings,

That they may accomplish the bodhisattva conduct

And attain Unsurpassed Bodhi.

I make offerings to all the Buddhas

Of the past and the present,

And I pray that the Buddhas yet to come

May swiftly accomplish the Buddha-path.

May all the Buddha-lands

throughout the ten directions be adorned,

Where the Tathāgatas sit upon the seats of awakening

Amid vast assemblies of bodhisattvas.

May all sentient beings of the ten directions

Be freed from every affliction,

Deeply understand the truth of reality,

And ever abide in peace and joy.

As I cultivate the bodhisattva conduct,

I accomplish the knowledge of past lives,

Extinguishing all obstructions

Until nothing whatever remains.

May I be wholly freed from birth and death

And from all the deeds of māras and afflictions,

Like the sun within the sky,

Like the lotus unstained by water.

Roaming throughout the ten directions,

Teaching and transforming sentient beings,

Ending the suffering of the evil destinies,

I fulfill the bodhisattva conduct.

Though I accord with the ways of the world,

I never forsake the bodhisattva path.

To the end of the kalpas yet to come

I shall fully cultivate Samantabhadra's conduct.

If there are those who cultivate as I do,

I vow that we may ever dwell in one place,

So that the wholesome deeds of body, speech, and mind

May all be made alike.

If I should meet good spiritual friends

Who reveal the conduct of Samantabhadra,

I vow ever to draw near to them

And never to be parted from them.

May I ever behold all the Buddhas,

Encircled by hosts of bodhisattvas,

And to the end of the kalpas yet to come

Pay them homage and make them offerings.

Guarding all the Buddha-Dharma,

Praising the bodhisattva conduct,

To the end of the kalpas yet to come

I shall practice the way of Samantabhadra.

Though I dwell within birth and death,

I possess immeasurable merit,

Wisdom and skillful means,

And every samādhi of liberation.

In each and every mote of dust

I see immeasurable lands and realms,

And within each and every land

I see immeasurable Buddhas.

Thus do I behold the ten directions:

In each and every world-ocean,

And of every world-ocean,[1]

I see the Buddhas therein.

Within a single sound

There is the fullness of subtle voices,

And within each and every subtle voice

There is the fullness of the most victorious sound.

By the power of deep and far-reaching wisdom

I enter into the inexhaustible subtle voice,

Turning the pure and true Dharma

Of the Buddhas of the three times.

All the kalpas yet to come

I gather into a single thought-moment;

All the kalpas of the three times

Appear within the span of a single thought.

Within that single thought-moment

I behold the Tathāgatas of the three times,

And I also discern everywhere

Their liberation and their realms.

Within a single mote of dust

I manifest the pure lands of the three times;

And so too in the dust-mote lands of the ten directions

The realms are likewise adorned.

I behold the Buddhas yet to come,

Accomplishing the Way and turning the Dharma-wheel,

Their Buddha-work complete,

Manifesting their entry into nirvāṇa.

Wielding spiritual power, I travel everywhere

With the power of the Mahāyāna universal gateway,[2]

The power of loving-kindness embracing all,

The power of conduct replete with merit,

The power of pure merit,

The power of unobstructed wisdom,

The power of samādhi and skillful means,

The power that reaches Bodhi,

The power of pure karmic action,

The power that extinguishes affliction,

The power that destroys all māras,

The power that perfects Samantabhadra's conduct.

Purifying the ocean of Buddha-lands,

Liberating the ocean of sentient beings,

Discerning the ocean of all deeds,

Reaching the end of the ocean of wisdom,

Purifying the ocean of all practices,

Fulfilling the ocean of all vows,

I behold in full the ocean of Buddhas.

As for the ocean of kalpas of conduct,

The conduct of the Buddhas of the three times,

And the immeasurable great vows—

In all of these I have become complete.

Through Samantabhadra's conduct I attain Buddhahood;

The bodhisattva named Samantabhadra,

The eldest son of all the Buddhas—

I dedicate my roots of goodness,

Vowing that they may equal his.

With body, speech, and mind made pure,

Adorning the lands in sovereign freedom,

I attain Perfect Enlightenment,

All in accord with Samantabhadra.

Just as Mañjuśrī,

I cultivate the conduct of Samantabhadra;

The roots of goodness I have attained

I dedicate in the very same way.

The Tathāgatas of the three times

Praise this way of dedication.

I dedicate my roots of goodness

To the fulfillment of Samantabhadra's conduct.

I vow that, at the time of my death,

All obstructions shall be extinguished,

That I may behold Amitābha face to face

And be born in the Land of Peace and Bliss.

Once born in that land,

I shall accomplish all the great vows,

And Amitābha Tathāgata

Shall bestow upon me the prediction in his very presence.

Purifying the conduct of Samantabhadra,

Fulfilling the vows of Mañjuśrī,

To the end of the kalpas yet to come

I shall bring the bodhisattva conduct to ultimate completion.
