Study the Dharma online: the 88-lesson Foundation course, 10 minutes a day
An often-overlooked question when choosing where to study Buddhism online is: what does the program teach, and in what order? Inti Dharma's Foundation course organizes 88 lessons into three themes. Peace first explores calming the mind: suffering and its causes, mindfulness, breathing, and living with strong emotions. Harmony addresses relationships and ethical conduct: speech, livelihood, boundaries, and being with difficult people. Fulfillment explores foundational teachings more deeply: impermanence, not-self, dependent origination, and the long-term path of practice. The three themes are connected—each builds on the previous one, so their order is intentional rather than arbitrary.
When the mind has not settled, even profound teachings remain mere knowledge. Peace therefore comes first. With that foundation, relationships and ethical conduct become practicable. Once life is less tangled, foundational teachings such as not-self and dependent origination truly open up.
How does this differ from reading books independently?
Books offer depth but not sequence or pace. A graded program shows what to learn first, when you have enough foundation to continue, and uses quizzes to distinguish understanding from merely reading.
Who can take the Foundation course?
The 88-lesson Foundation course opens to people who have registered as disciples and been approved by Inti Foundation. Meanwhile the scripture library, the guides and the web tools for chanting and recitation stay free for everyone, with no account needed.
Why a path matters more than many talks
Hearing many good talks from different sources can feel like learning without building a foundation. A path shows where you are and what comes next—that is what sustains learners over time.
