Exposition of the Supplementary Supreme Higher Dakini Net Samvara Scripture
Background
The Supplementary Supreme Higher Dakini Net Samvara Scripture (Sarvabuddhasamayogadakinijalasamvarottarottaratantra) belongs to the Vajrayana Tantras section and is a supplement to the highest teachings concerning the deity Samvara in union. In the Tibetan tradition, this scripture is classified as Highest Tantra (Anuttarayoga Tantra), the highest level of Tantric scriptures.
Samvara is not an independent Buddha, but a manifestation of the union of all Buddhas (Sarvabuddhasamayoga). The name “Dakini Net” (Dakinijala) clearly indicates the role of the Dakinis, primordial wisdom beings, throughout the system of practice. The Dakinis represent the dynamic and direct qualities of the wisdom of means (upaya) and the wisdom of space (shunyataprajnapti), indispensable factors on the path of the Tantric practitioner.
The “Supplementary” (uttarottara) portion of the title indicates that this is an advanced layer of teaching, adding practical and visualization details that the proper tantras cannot fully develop.
Main Content
This scripture focuses on rules of practice related to transforming the body, speech, and mind of the practitioner into the form of Samvara in union with Prajnaparamita or the Cakrasamvara Dakini. This process is not ordinary imagination, but clear visualization (sadhana) based on the principle:
First, the practitioner gives rise in the mind to an unreal space (shunyata), the basis of all phenomena. From this arise the elements (dhatu) and the syllables (mantra), which in sequence transform into the palace, the environment, and finally oneself as Samvara in union.
These supplementary Tantric scriptures often elaborate:
(1) The stages of visualization: from preliminary visualization (sadhanakramaprathama) to the subtle stages of generation and completion yoga (utpattikrama and sampannakrama).
🌏 The Buddhist canon is vast — some sūtras (such as comparative Vinaya across schools, or untranslated Tibetan-canon texts) have to this day NEVER been translated into Vietnamese or English by anyone, scholars included. Rather than leave it blank, Inti AI offers a FAITHFUL summary grounded in the tradition — from the sūtra's title, origin and essence — so you can still reach this rare part of the treasury. Whenever an original translation exists, the app shows the original first.
