BJT 1081"This heavenly mansion is lofty, with pillars of maṇi-jewel, extending twelve yojanas all around, with seven hundred magnificent pinnacled halls supported by pillars of beryl, spread with gold, and beautiful.
BJT 1082You have attained the supernatural powers of the devas, and possess great majesty. What meritorious deed did you perform when you were a human being? On account of what do you possess such blazing majesty, and your complexion shines in all directions?"
BJT 1083That young deva, delighted at being questioned by Venerable Moggallāna, being asked the question, explained of which kamma this was the fruit:
BJT 1084"I, when I was a human being in the human realm, having seen a monk who was trembling and weary, provided a full day's meal; at that time I performed this act by means of a meal that was my own possession.
BJT 1085On account of that, I possess such a complexion. On account of that, what has come to pass here has been accomplished for me. And on account of that, pleasurable enjoyments arise for me.
BJT 1086Venerable monk of great majesty, I declare to you the meritorious deed I performed when I was a human being. On account of that I possess such blazing majesty, and my complexion shines in all directions."
