BJT 756"O goddess, you stand with a radiant complexion, making all the directions blaze with light, like the star osadhī.
BJT 757By what have you obtained such a complexion as this? By what has this achievement come to pass for you here? And by what do pleasurable enjoyments arise for you?
BJT 758O goddess of great power, I ask you: 'When you were a human being, what meritorious deed did you do? By what do you have the power to blaze with brilliance in this way, and your complexion illumines all the directions?'"
BJT 759That goddess, delighted at being questioned by the venerable Moggallāna, being asked the question, explained of which karma this was the fruit:
BJT 760"I offered a handful of blue water-lily blossoms to a bhikkhu going on almsround in the noble and lovely city of Paṇṇakata in the highland region of the Esika country.
BJT 761By that I have obtained such a complexion as this. By that this achievement has come to pass for me here. And by that pleasurable enjoyments arise for me.
BJT 762Venerable bhikkhu of great power, I declare to you what I did when I was a human being. By that I have the power to blaze with brilliance in this way, and my complexion illumines all the directions." (The woman who offered blue water-lily blossoms)
