1.11
BJT 93"Herons, peacocks, swans, and cuckoos with sweet voices belonging to the heavenly realm fly about in this lovely palace, which is strewn with flowers, adorned with many colors, and frequented by many celestial men and women.
BJT 94O goddess of great might, you dwell there, manifesting your supernormal powers in many forms. And you have these celestial maidens dancing, singing, and performing entertainment all around you.
BJT 95O goddess of great might, you have attained the supernormal powers of the devas. What meritorious deed did you perform when you were a human being? By what means do you possess such blazing might, and your complexion shines brilliantly in all directions?"
BJT 96That goddess rejoiced when questioned by the Venerable Moggallāna. Being asked the question, she explained of which kamma this result was:
BJT 97"I, when I was a human being in the human realm, was a faithful wife, harboring no thought of another. Like a mother protecting her son, even in anger I did not speak harsh words.
BJT 98Firmly established in truth, having abandoned falsehood, delighting in generosity, of kind character, with a mind of serene confidence, I respectfully offered abundant gifts of food and drink.
BJT 99Because of that, I possess such a complexion as this. Because of that, all things have come to fulfilment for me here. And because of that, pleasing enjoyments arise for me.
BJT 100Venerable bhikkhu of great might, I have told you of the meritorious deed I performed when I was a human being. Because of that, I possess such blazing might, and my complexion shines brilliantly in all directions."
