2.42. Dhammapāla
BJT 203“Clearly, a young monk who strives in accordance with the Buddha's teaching is awake among those who sleep; his life is not empty.
BJT 204Therefore, an intelligent person, keeping the teaching of the Buddhas in mind, should devote himself to faith, virtue, gladness, and understanding the Dhamma.”
Thus spoke the venerable elder Dhammapāla.
