351. {354.} Sakoṭakakoraṇḍadāyaka

Walt 3153 Having seen the path stepped upon

by Sikhi Buddha , World’s Kinsman,

placing deer-hide on one shoulder,

I worshipped that superb footprint. Verse 1

Walt 3154 Seeing a koraṇḍa in bloom,

foot-drinker growing in the earth,

taking a sprig with flowers, I

worshipped the wheel on that footprint. Verse 2

Walt 3155 In the thirty-one aeons since

I did that good karma back then,

I’ve come to know no bad rebirth:

that’s the fruit of footprint- pūjā . Verse 3

Walt 3156 The four analytical modes,

and these eight deliverances,

six special knowledges mastered,

I have done what the Buddha taught! Verse 4

Thus indeed Venerable Sakoṭakakoraṇḍadāyaka Thera spoke these verses.

The legend of Sakoṭakakoraṇḍadāyaka Thera is finished.
