Homage to the Blessed, Noble, and Perfectly Enlightened One.
Arahants are like fields,Donors are like farmers,A gift is like a seed,And from this, the fruit grows.The seed is sown in the field,For the benefit of the departed and the donor.The departed feed from it,And the donor grows in merit.Having done what's wholesome in this way,You honor the departed.Having made good karma,One goes to the ground of heaven.
