4.144.. Shining

—Mendicants, there are four kinds of shining. What four?

The shining of the moon, the shining of the sun, the shining of fire, and the shining of wisdom.

Mendicants, these are the four kinds of shining. And of these four kinds of shining, the shining of wisdom is supreme.

This discourse collection was translated from Pali into Vietnamese by Venerable Thích Minh Châu in 1976–1977 and published by Vạn Hạnh Buddhist Institute, Saigon, in 1980–1981. As part of the Vietnamese Buddhist Canon translation and publication program, the collection was revised into 4 volumes and reprinted in 1996 as volumes 21, 22, 23, and 24.
