4.133. Quick-Witted

TTC 1 Bhikkhus, these four kinds of people are found existing in the world. What four?

One who understands in outline, one who understands broadly and in detail, one who needs to be guided, and one who is merely skilled in words.

Bhikkhus, these four kinds of people are found existing in the world.

This collection was translated from the Pali Canon into Vietnamese by Venerable Thích Minh Châu in 1976–1977 and published by Vạn Hạnh Buddhist Institute, Saigon, in 1980–1981. As part of the translation and publication program for the Vietnamese Tripiṭaka, the collection was revised into 4 volumes and republished in 1996 as volumes 21, 22, 23, and 24.
