What is this season?
Vesak honours the birth of the Buddha; in the Theravāda tradition the same full moon also remembers his awakening and final passing. In Vietnam the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha holds it around the full moon of the fourth lunar month and announces the official date each year; the date here is that full moon in the Vietnamese lunar calendar. This seven-day path reads Nikāya discourses on the Buddha's appearing, youth and qualities, closing with the discourse on the wonders around his birth. The last day has a lantern step: the dedication you write stays on your device.
